Background
Dr Stephanie Harper has worked as a professional ecologist since 2008. Prior to this, she volunteered with Glamorgan Wildlife Trust while a university student and with Sheffield Wildlife Trust on graduation.
Professional experience
Starting professionally at Environ UK Ltd, she gained experience on a range of projects, mainly focussed on commercial and industrial development within the West and South Midlands.
She joined Arup in 2015 and later was headhunted to AECOM, overseeing thousands of ecology surveys a year for HS2 Ltd. During this time she also worked with Aston Villa Football Club, helping to design and secure planning permission for their relocated Bodymoor Heath training ground, and their new inner city football academy.
Certifications
Steph holds a Natural England Level 1 class licence for bats and has undertaken hundreds of bat surveys and assessments.
